Growing up in the 90's, I was fortunate enough to be apart of One of skateboardings greatest eras. Not to mention witnessing all tha incredibly rad, creative, and sick graphics that came out during this time.
Jeremy Klein's BRAND "HOOK-UPS" always held a special place in my heart. From the BIG BREASTED BABES, BRIGHT BRILLIANT COLORS, and NAUGHTY IMAGERY, it was every little teenagers wet-dream! As I grew up, and started my own skate company, one of the FIRST IDEAS I had for a graphic was RE-WRITING "HOOD-RITUAL" in the "HOOK-UPS" Font as both brands start with H-O-O... Then from there, we decided to draw Tha Egyptian Goddess Isis, in an ANIME STYLE. Thus playing on the ANIME GIRLS of the HOOK-UPS WORLD, but also sending a nod to tha underlying MAGICK, and esoteric knowledge I so enjoy hiding in my work. This idea was formulated well over 10 years ago, but is only now seeing the light of day! But hey, as they say: "ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT."
